Summary:

I want to know what processor can help me get 300+ fps in Crossfire. Is an i5 8400 able to achieve that?

Long Story:

I replaced my old graphics card, a GT 730, a few months back to a gtx 1050ti and I noticed my fps in Crossfire didn't go up. It stayed at around 200 fps. So I know that I'm cpu limited in the game.

I currently have an i3 4130. My power supply and motherboard just died and I need to upgrade the entire system essentially. That's my target processor based on review's I've seen and what money I'm willing to throw at my new PC.

I am playing on this PC:

Intel i7-7700K
gtx 1050

...and nah, the limit of the fps is 200, kahit gawin kong 800x600 yung resolution.

Oh it's capped mate but I don't really know the exact figure, maybe 200, no matter how high the fps you get from other games. It may go up to 250 but it won't get any higher than 300. Try to disable frame pacing see if there's any improvement.

Game is capped at 205.3 fps even with vertical sync off.

I remember seeing a screenshot before of having it reach 300 fps perhaps an update added an fps cap to it.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Smiley

Lol, 200 fps is really smooth tho.
Compared to my past experience with my old laptop, the frames are really unstable, it goes from 10 Fps to 40 Fps limit.

I think the Fps was capped at 200 when Crossfire 2.0 was released.

So maybe I was right. An update put a cap on the fps. Was hoping to buy a 144hz monitor as well so I wanted to get as much fps I could get as possible to really make it buttery smooth.
